The design of the Vanke Golden Mile is characterized by its unique properties. The lobby, a complex of geometric acrylic shapes, is designed to resemble the skyline of Nanning city, combining culture and landscape in a beautiful representation of city life. The flower shop at the entrance adds a touch of nature and elegance, reducing the commercial feel of the space.
Technology plays a significant role in the realization of this design. The lobby's intricate geometric shapes are made from acrylic, a material known for its versatility and durability. The leisure area upstairs extends the main area's gentleness, with artistry expressed through lines and figures, exploring vitality in a static structure.
Despite the design's complexity, the interaction with the space is simple and intuitive. The first floor houses coffee, baking, and children's areas, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The second floor is home to the model area, negotiation area, and sample room, making good use of daylighting and enhancing the visual penetration of the space.
The project, which started in Shanghai in August 2020 and completed in Nanning in December 2020, faced several design challenges. The use of simple materials for the overall hard decoration, such as warm-wooden color, gray waterstone, and vintage flooring, required careful consideration to show the layers of the space. However, the result is a harmonious blend of textures and materials that create a sense of depth and interest.
The Vanke Golden Mile design was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2021. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation, and the Vanke Golden Mile certainly fits the bill. With its blend of aesthetics and function, it creates a lovable community for its customers and sets a new standard for sales office design.
